Resting in the knowledge that we are loved by God helps us to better love ourselves. During the Covid pandemic we have had to find ways to better care for ourselves. When we love ourselves we silence the Pharisee within us that says “you can’t do this” or “you have to do that” and instead we find peace while doing our tasks. This peace leads to even greater progress because we are no longer doing it as a :must do” but as an “I get to and God will help me”.
Matthew: 11:28-29
“28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
